The insurance cover available to you will depend on your membership type, number of hours per week worked and whether you are an active or inactive member. Employer Sponsored Members receive Basic Cover automatically if they satisfy the eligibility requirements. For full details on insurance available refer to the Product Disclosure Statement. The table below sets out the eligibility criteria required for insurance cover for each member type.
Do I need to apply for insurance cover? If you are applying as an Employer Sponsored Member and you meet the 'At Work' eligibility conditions, you will receive Basic cover automatically without having to make a written application or provide evidence of your health.
Australian Enterprise Super provides eligible new members with automatic access to low cost insurance cover for death and total and permanent disablement. Automatic cover is granted to eligible new members who join Australian Enterprise Super, and the premiums are deducted automatically from your Australian Enterprise Super account each month. Your insurance cover is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - not just when you are at work. Your choice for extra insurance cover that's right for you! You may also apply for optional extra insurance (Double or Top Up cover) depending on your membership category.
Double Cover allows you to choose additional insurance cover. Eligible members may choose to apply for additional insurance cover, at twice the Basic Cover level at twice the premiums (shown in the table below). Eligible Employer Sponsored members may receive automatic double Basic Cover provided they apply within 60 days of commencing work.
Top Up Cover allows eligible members to choose from three to ten times the Basic Cover level of insurance. Top up cover is subject the Insurers assessment.
Cost of Cover The cost of insurance depends on your age, and the amount of insurance cover you choose.
